I should be working on the Land Rover, but instead I am watching Archer and mulling over the customization on the Civic.

I have lights to install in the garage. Super easy 2 screws to mount the brackets and they're sequential plug in style and I already previously did the first one. Yet here I am playing Bloons Adventure Time instead.

Cooling, I replaced just the upper when it blew a few weeks ago and then this past week I went back and replaced the rest of the hoses and the expansion tank . Just need to fill and burp which is kind of a pain on these .

That sucks. I’ve heard that the vacuum coolant filler... things are pretty good for challenging cooling systems , but I haven’t had great luck with mine yet.

Last time when I repalced the upper I made a huge mess following the procedure in the RAVE manual(just run it up to temp with everything open they said! What they didn’t say and what should’ve but didn’t occur to me is that if there is air in the system, which there was, you’ll cause quite the geyser that way, and then suck more air right back in ). I then found a tip from some forums to make a funnel that screws into the radiator by cementing a tall funnel into a threaded male end /unthreaded female end PVC adapter , but the funnel I used was a little small so I still made a mess but at least got it burped. This time I made one with a bigger funnel so hopefully that does it mess free.

I should be putting Christmas lights on my gutters, but it’s below freezing outside, so instead I’m wrapping toys for a toy drive at work for local shelters. Feels more in the spirit of the holiday anyway.

Now I might need to put on Archer, too. As for car modifications, where might one find caltrops?
